This week we took our first road trip to Ft. Knox to visit Dave and my Great Aunt Jane and Uncle Butch. It was a great trip and Loralei was a wonderful car rider. Loralei took her first trip onto post and even visited where her daddy works, and the PX ( a right of passage for any military visit). We had a great time, and of course any bonus time with Dave is good for ALL of us.
It is mothers day this weekend and we are going to drive up to Albany for Loralei to meet more family and visit her daddy's home church. I am looking forward to celebrating my first mothers day, and as with any new life experience I have more appreciation and love for my own mother (and every mother) than I ever had before. This mommy business is hard work, and I am barely 5 weeks in! With that being said, Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's in my life, I hope you get a great day with your family and a very LONG nap
