3 year old stats

We had our belated 3 year well visit with Dr. White.  We learned that our future ballerina/ballplayer is still off the charts as far as height!  She weighted in a 40lbs (98%) and was 40'' tall (98%).  She is right on target with her growing curve.  She aced her blood pressure, hearing, and vision exam.  Dr. White said she is perfect (but we knew that already).

Zoo Tot

We have been spending a lot of time at the zoo here lately.  Loralei has started "Zoo Tots." It is a 6 week interactive zoo experience where they learn about two or three animal friends meet them, and learn all about them.  We are three weeks in and love it so far.

We also squeezed in a zoo date with mommy's best friends Chelsea and Jackie (friends for 10 years). They brought their kiddos Graham, Rory, Cyrus, and friends Amy and Elizabeth.  Cyrus and Rory are wee baby friends so we spent most of our time running (literally) the zoo with Ellie and Graham. Fun was had by all, I wish we got to do this stuff more. :(

Easter Fun

Easter came and went in a flash.  We kept it low key this year and celebrated just the three of us with an after church brunch at the Marina with live music, and of course ducks, fishes, and turtles. This is our go to spot for sunny day family outings. The day before Easter we attended our church's annual Easter egg hunt and festival. Loralei and Rylan hunted eggs, bounced in the bouncy house, and enjoyed snow cones. Fun was had by all!

Spring Fun

Spring has sprung and we are living it up!  Loralei has adjusted quite well to mommy starting a 9-5 gig outside of the home.  I knew she would.  We have spent lots of time outside, playing and visiting friends. I love this time of year!

Rando

There has been a lot of change in the DeForest house as of late.  Here is a "high level review."

We bought a new car.  Dave's Trailblazer had officially given us it's last headache. He now is driving this 2012 Sonata Hybrid, and really loves it. I love the gas mileage! LOL

We spent a bit of time with our favorite male twins Wryland and Whitten. We ate pizza and watched Frozen.

I have taken a new job.  So that means my ride or die days with these two cuties are over.  They are both headed to full time, full structured day care. I think it is a good change, but I am sure going to miss my time with these monkey's.  I am not sure many mom's/aunts can say they had three good years with their children at home while working. I have certainly been blessed in that regard, but I am excited to see where this new professional avenue leads our family.
My last day with these two munchkins!

Dave had a LONG overdue procedure to his calf and ankle on April 27th.  They removed several bone spurs and lengthened his calf. He is on a short road to recovery, and a better work life balance with an ankle he can rely on.

Frozen Party

One of Loralei's schoolmates Eden had a birthday the same week she did.  We went to celebrate with Eden for her "Frozen" party.  Loralei got to make crafts, bounce in bouncy house, eat sugary treats, and MEET Queen Elsa and Princess Anna.  She was a little "Star Struck" but has talked about it ever since. She had a wonderful time.

Let it go LIVE!

I am THREE!!!

Loralei Louise DeForest is three years old!  Can you believe it?  I certainly cannot!  The past three years have flown by, and with each year we learn more about ourselves as parents, adults, and humans.  Loralei is certainly growing up before our eyes and we couldn't be more proud of her.

We have our 3 year well visit in a few weeks, I will update with her "stats" after that. We celebrated with lots of  "Frozen" fun and sugary treats.  We have had our fill of cake around here for a while :)   Loralei's daddy had surgery just before her birthday. So she spent some time in KY celebrating with friends and family. She had such a good time, and can't wait to go back.

Ballet

We are now officially a ballerina.  Loralei has been asking to take dance for a while, but needed to have our potty training under control a bit more, as well as a little more time for our listening ears.  The first class was a bust. We watched our friends dance and cried a little.  The second class went MUCH, MUCH better. Our friends Liam and Ava came to that class and she never missed a beat, and didn't shed a single tear. :)
