6 months Old

Part I
Loralei you are officially half a year old. You are such a joy to our lives, I don't think any of us could have imagined how our lives would have changed 6 months and 1 day ago! You are such a sweet girl, and have the best personality. You love to be snuggled, read to, and sang to. Your favorite song is "You are my sunshine" and the "Peanut Butter and Jelly Song." You are sleeping from 9pm-7:30am every night, and only wake up if your diaper is really wet. You're such a good baby!!! You loooooove your baby food, and really like squash and sweet potatoes. You had your first bite of mashed potatoes last week and like a real southern girl you REALLY liked them. (Click on any photo to see a larger version)

Part II
Loralei is still a little under the weather. Last Wednesday night, our usual happy baby became a screaming, crying, inconsolable baby. We were so SURE it was her 1st tooth trying to break through, but we'd be WRONG. After a very restless night, we went right in to see the Dr. and he diagnosed her with a DOUBLE ear infection. OUCH that explained a LOT. Once we were home, and had a LOOONG nap, and a dose of antibiotic her mood turned right around, and she is back to her bubbly self. The 6 month shots had her down today, but that is just temporary (we hope). Here's to healthier days!

It is another big week around here with Daddy and Mommy's birthday celebrations, and her 6 month photo shoot at the pumpkin patch! Check back soon for our sweet 'Lady Bug.' Wishing you all a blessed week!
