We had such a HUGE Christmas I thought it would be easier to break it up into 2 parts. Part I our Tennessee Christmas and Part II our Kentucky Christmas. Here we go....
Christmas has come and gone, but I am just now getting around to blogging. This year I was more excited about Christmas than I think I had ever been as a child. The anticipation of my daughters 1st Christmas was so exciting. We kept several of our "Hoolihan" family traditions, and we started a new one too. Christmas Eve morning we started the new tradition of breakfast at my parents house. That way we could all relax in our PJ's eat breakfast, open gifts, watch Christmas vacation, and maybe steal a power nap before the evenings larger family gathering got underway. It was a great success. Loralei was spoiled before Santa ever had a chance to climb down the chimney 24 hours later.
Christmas Eve night we had our traditional Christmas Eve gathering with the extended Hoolihan family. Everyone gathered at our house and we ate, the little ones opened gifts, and the adults played Dirty Santa (P.S. this was the MILDEST year for dirty Santa to date. Even my aunt Esie said we were lame this year :)). That night after all the wrapping paper had settled, we put our little elf to bed and waited for Santa's arrival. What do you know, he came! Bright and early around 7am Loralei awoke to her 1st Christmas morning, Santa had brought her LOTS of toys. Dolls, puzzles, books, oh my! She was sooooo excited. Later that morning after mommy and daddy exchanged gifts, we packed up the car and headed to Kentucky for Christmas part II.
Here are a few pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning. Enjoy :)
