Bye Bye Tonsils and Adenoids

Cora has had a time with her tonsils and adenoids since I can remember. During her 3 year well visit we made the decision to consult with an ENT to see if removal was needed.  He agreed that she did have breathing issues, specifically obstructive sleep apnea.   So we set a date and out they came. She did great. No AMAZING, she was a trooper from beginning to end.  Her pain was manageable and 6 days post op she was good as new. :)

Life has been in fast forward. So here is what we have been doing in pictures.....

We ended our first basketball season

I am not sure where the past 7 years went? It has been a joy every single day to be your mom Loralei. You are what gives me purpose. You made me a mom. I am not sure I did before you, and I love watching the young lady you have become.  Continue to have courage and be kind my sweet girl.   I love you, mom.  

The birthday girl requested a GREATEST SHOWMAN birthday and we delivered. We had our friends over for a watch party. We ate popcorn and cake and laughed. A lot! 

She even got a new watch for her birthday. This watch used to be mine, and now it is hers. <3 td="">

Easter 2018

Spring Break

This year for Spring Break Loralei and her daddy picked up Pa Jim and headed to Eastern KY to visit the town Pa grew up in. It was bitterly cold, and snowy for a spring break, but the 3 amigos made the most of it.

Pa is from Moorehead, KY but his family has an amazing legacy about an hour away in Hindman, KY. A tiny town tucked away in the Appalachian Mountains. Pa's family The Stone's and Stewart's helped settle the Hindman Settlement School in 1902. His family is buried there and left a wonderful foundation for education in that town.

St. Patty's Day 2018

This year we went to the County Sumner Inaugural St. Patrick Day celebration.  We took along our friends the Swindles and Burgbachers and their respective clans. Good times and Gaelic football was had by most. ;)
