Christmas Time is almost here!

We are finishing up our Christmas shopping, wrapping, and getting ready for our 1st visit with Santa Clause. Before any of that can happen I have to catch you up on what has been going on around here.

Loralei is CRAWLING I don't mean a little, the girl is on the move!  It has added a whole new dynamic to our fun around here.  I have tried to post a video of her 1st crawl across the living room, I hope it works ;)

Things have been pretty eventful around here. I was in Colorado for work this week so Loralei had a few sleepovers with Pop and BeBe and played with daddy and Uncle Lee who is in from law school.  She is on her way with solid foods, we are playing with textures and taste. She has only turned her nose up at Oranges, everything else is yummy!

Thursday night she started to run a low grade fever, by Friday she was sick!  Running a fever of 102.7, so we took a trip to see Dr. White.  They ruled out flu, UTI, pneumonia, and now we are waiting on results from a blood culture to make sure there is no blood infection. She is feeling much better today, but we are still wary until all results are in.   I hate it when she is sick, you feel so helpless. :(

Here is some pre-Christmas cheer to enjoy.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Turkey and an 8 month Old!

I am waaaaay far behind on my blogging. Partly because our baby has become quite the little personality. and is keeping us on our toes, and partly because I just wrapped a 3 months of prep and 2mperformances for a Broadway revue.  Since the last time I blogged we have had Thanksgiving and Loralei has turned 8 months old. She is ALL over the place these days. spinning, bouncing, crawling (backwards), and trying to pull up on anything that will sit still.  She has also become quite the kidder, and ham.  She will try anything to get you to laugh and 100% of the time it works.

Loralei you are 8 months old. You bring so much joy and love to our home, it is hard to even imagine what life was like before your infectious smile and giggle. We love you more and more each day, and are so blessed to have you.

Stats:
  • You weight 21.6lbs (we know this because you had ANOTHER ear infection last week)
  • You wear size 3 diapers, and size 9-12 and 12 month clothing.
  • You love to bounce, pull onto you knees, do baby yoga, and are quite a dancer when mommy raps for you.
  • Yogurt Melts are your FAVORITE and you will gobble them up in a hurry.
  • You love lemons, not a fan of tomatoes, or oranges, but love your green veggies.
  • Water is your beverage of choice, but formula rules around here.
  • You love to bark like a puppy, wave bye bye, and say daddy, mommy, and bye-bye.

***Here are some great pictures from Thanksgiving and the week or two following:

7 month update!

I am a little late posting this, but better late than never :)

Loralei is 7 months old (and 1 week).  She has really started to develop quite a personality, and become quite a ham. She loves to giggle and laugh, and will even throw in a fake laugh just to make you laugh.   Her favorite game to play is the "trust fall" if you are on the floor with her, she will look back and throw herself into your lap, you tickle her she sits back up, then repeat, repeat, repeat, etc.   She has her "booty" bounce down pat and uses it to make her way across any room.  She is getting the hang of the reverse crawl, so its only a matter of time before she is moving forward.

7 Month Stats:
  • I am guessing you weight 23-25lbs
  • You are over 27" long and too long for any outfit smaller than 9 months.
  • You wear size 3 diapers, and wear 9 month and some 12 month outfits, so the pants are long enough.
  • You are in a big girl car seat, rear facing in mommy and daddy's car.
  • Miles and Anna Kate are your best buds at school
  • You are days away from cutting your bottom left tooth, the right is just behind it :)
  • You sleep from 7:30pm-6:00am, but are quite the mover in your sleep, and daddy and I have to adjust you several times in the night when you get "stuck"
  • You hate naps, and will fight me over them DAILY.
  • books, peek a boo, bath time, your jump-a-roo, and music, little babies are your favorite things right now
  • face wiping, naps, diaper changes,  the car seat, mommy leaving the room, are NOT your favorite things.

Here are a few pics of our 7 month cutie:

1st Halloween

Lions, and Tigers, and LADY BUGS!  We had our 1st Halloween this weekend, and it was a huge success!  We didn't venture out trick or treating, but we did visit our church friends at Trunk or Treat, and help hand out candy to the neighborhood kids!

Here are a few pictures from the week!

snooze fest!

It was a real snooze fest around here last week.  We even had dinner AT home 3 times last week, that hasn't happened since the baby was born!  The highlight of the week was Loralei's new "big girl" car seat arrived.  They jury is still out, but so far she seems to like it.  We shall she how she likes the one for daddy's car next week.

Loralei had a great time at school she got to meet Firemen (planned visit, no fires), and play with Miles and Anna Kate her best buds.  She is really starting to take in the world around her, it is amazing to see the world though her little eyes.  We were remarking this week that Christmas is going to be a real experience for her!  I can't wait!  Next week she will be 7 MONTHS old, where does it go?  I cherish every time she falls asleep on my chest, and throws her arms up for me to hold her, because I know there will come a day when she will want me to drop her off around the corner so her friends don't see :)    Let's not think about that, let just take in some cuteness!

someone turn on the heat!

I'm ready for my close up!

someone hit the pause button! Why can't she stay this little!

New car seat, she is THRILLED! LOL

1st Festival

This weekend we went to Kentucky for the annual foothills festival, and to see Dave's family.  The foothills festival is a big deal in Albany, and the whole town comes out to see the parades, local vendors, lip-sinc competition, and funnel cakes!  We had a great time visiting with Dave's family, and seeing lots of friends.

I was a little fussy at the parade
I got to see my Great Granny!
