Typhoid Mary

I had to take my last work trip the week leading up to Christmas.  I ran by Loralei's school for a lunch date on my way to the airport. We had a nice chat, and shared some pretzels. This was Tuesday.  On Wednesday night during FaceTime I could tell something wasn't right. My usual spunky girl looked peaked and very tired.  Wouldn't you know it, she was sick. Like really sick. Thank God for modern technology because the pitiful face I saw on Thursday let this mama know 1000+ miles away she needed some medical attention.  She looked awful, I am glad I don't have a picture of that. It literally broke my heart.  Super Dad took LL to the doctor and they diagnosed her with a double ear infection and the FLU!!!  So much for the flu mist we got. :(

I was able to fly home a little bit early and get to my girl, but by the time I landed at 11pm on Thursday her fever had broken and she was running around the house like the flu had never been there.  I stripped the beds and Lysol'd the house down and prayed we didn't share our germs with any our of friends and family. So far, so good.

On a side note. Thank you so much for everyone who pitched in and helped with LL this year while I traveled. I pray 2014 is less eventful in that department.

Eating lunch with my main girl!

24 hours later, disaster strikes. Flu and ear infection positive.

24 hours later. What flu?!?!

We got to keep our Rocketts date with Nanna and Bianca!

WORE OUT!
