Belle Kitty

After Lola passed we had a furry hole in our hearts. One of mommy's co-workers had a litter of kittens that needed a new home. We picked "Belle" out of the litter and brought her home! Loralei is a great mommy to her kitty.

Dance Recital 2017

Dance Recital 2017 is in the books. Loralei grew a lot this year, and is really enjoying dance. She did a ballet and tap number. She has really blossomed as a performer and dancer, and I can't wait to see what next year has in store.

Disney on Ice

As if horses weren't enough. As a birthday gift from Rachel, Austin, and Harper Loralei got tickets to see Disney on Ice in Kentucky. We went with sister Cora, cousin Harper Aunt Rachel, Uncle Austin, his nice and sister, and Nana and Pa. We made a weekend out of our trip and had a great time.  The seats were amazing and all the kids (and adults) loved it.

Cora loved the show. She went wild every time Mickey and Minnie came out. At the end of the show they did their bows in front of us. Cora slipped past her dad and pa and made a bee line for the ice. She was on her way to get the mouse!  Luckily, we caught her before she got there. LOL

We found a strawberry patch and did our annual picking. Cora ate her way through the patch like last year. We are going to get banned from a patch next year :)

Our sweet 16 year old puppy went  to be with Jesus.  She came into our lives in February 2006 as a 5 year old named "Weezer." I took one look at her and knew she was no "Weezer", she was a prissy girl and needed a prissy girl name. She became "Lola" my first after college roommate, and then the adopted child of my mom and dad once I started traveling for work so much. She brought happy dances, wet nose kisses, and constant companionship to our family.  We will miss this girl so much, but know she is no longer suffering or in pain. RIP Lola girl. We love you. :)

Easter 2017

On the heels of several week of birthday celebrations we took time to enjoy Easter.  We hunted eggs, went to church, celebrated with friends, and family. Church was a power day. Man, when the praise team and Tom bring their A game, Jesus is sitting right there with you it feels.   It was a great weekend to celebrate the risen savior!

'Buc'

Part of Loralei's birthday was to go horse back riding. To say this girl is a pro is an understatement. She saddle right up and took off. She never missed a beat, acted scared. She was in total control.  It was so precious watching her face as she rode.  She didn't want to leave, and it was quite hard for a couple days getting past it. We promised we'd go often to see Buc and ride.
