St. Patrick Day 2019

The other Holiday we do really well is St. Patrick's Day. This year daddy really "kicked" it up a notch. He and Mr. Andy embraced drafty conditions and broke out the kilts. They had more fun than anyone else, and even made the local news. 🙈

We had a great time at Cheekwood celebrating St. Patrick's Day with the Burgbacher and Swindle families.

We also took time out to celebrate Granny Staton's 87th Birthday. She is a very special lady, and deserves to be toasted every day of the year. Happy Birthday Granny!!!

2019 off to a bang!

New year, new excitement.

First, Basketball season is back!  Loralei has a new team this year that is co-ed. She and past team mate Mille Anne are back together and ready to dominate this season.

Second, we have entered the orthodontic phase of life. Here's to head gear and palate expanders. :(

We got some snow. It wasn't much, but it was fun to look at and play with. Else enjoyed it.

Lastly, Pa Jim is 78!!  This is a big milestone so we wanted to celebrate. We went back to Opryland hotel for a fun weekend with Aunt Rachel and her family, Pa Jim and Nana.  Sadly, some were hit with a tummy bug mid-trip, but we tried to make the best of it. Happy Birthday PA JIM!

Cora is 4!!!

Cora is 4! Our littlest "Luna-Corn" is 4!  When did she turn 3? She was VERY set on a unicorn party theme this year. She helped to pick out her cake, outfit, and even the bouncy houses.  Cora had a WONDERFUL time celebrating with all her friend and family. :)

Happy 4th Birthday to the girl who keeps our world exciting.  Cora, you never miss an opportunity for adventure. You keep us on our toes, and everyone around you loves you.  You have the best laugh, and are so so ticklish. Keep smiling and exploring baby girl. Mommy and Daddy love you so much.

Christmas 2018

Christmas 2018 is in the books. It was another fun year of opening gifts, loving on family we don't always get to see, and taking some time to just be in the moment of WHY we celebrate Christmas.

Luke 2: 8-14 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,    and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas 2018

The Saturday before Thanksgiving we started to see signs of Christmas 2018.  The girls rode with Papa Steve, Nana-Jeannine, Bebe, and their cousins in the annual Springfield Christmas Parade.

Loralei had her annual performance at Opryland Hotel with her dance company to ring in the season.  We even snuck back over on a school night to go ice skating, see Santa, and take in all the beautiful lights at Opryland Hotel.

I'd hang them anywhere.

I did the skating Cora did the riding ;)
