Rando

There has been a lot of change in the DeForest house as of late.  Here is a "high level review."

We bought a new car.  Dave's Trailblazer had officially given us it's last headache. He now is driving this 2012 Sonata Hybrid, and really loves it. I love the gas mileage! LOL

We spent a bit of time with our favorite male twins Wryland and Whitten. We ate pizza and watched Frozen.

I have taken a new job.  So that means my ride or die days with these two cuties are over.  They are both headed to full time, full structured day care. I think it is a good change, but I am sure going to miss my time with these monkey's.  I am not sure many mom's/aunts can say they had three good years with their children at home while working. I have certainly been blessed in that regard, but I am excited to see where this new professional avenue leads our family.
My last day with these two munchkins!

Dave had a LONG overdue procedure to his calf and ankle on April 27th.  They removed several bone spurs and lengthened his calf. He is on a short road to recovery, and a better work life balance with an ankle he can rely on.

Frozen Party

One of Loralei's schoolmates Eden had a birthday the same week she did.  We went to celebrate with Eden for her "Frozen" party.  Loralei got to make crafts, bounce in bouncy house, eat sugary treats, and MEET Queen Elsa and Princess Anna.  She was a little "Star Struck" but has talked about it ever since. She had a wonderful time.

Let it go LIVE!

I am THREE!!!

Loralei Louise DeForest is three years old!  Can you believe it?  I certainly cannot!  The past three years have flown by, and with each year we learn more about ourselves as parents, adults, and humans.  Loralei is certainly growing up before our eyes and we couldn't be more proud of her.

We have our 3 year well visit in a few weeks, I will update with her "stats" after that. We celebrated with lots of  "Frozen" fun and sugary treats.  We have had our fill of cake around here for a while :)   Loralei's daddy had surgery just before her birthday. So she spent some time in KY celebrating with friends and family. She had such a good time, and can't wait to go back.

Ballet

We are now officially a ballerina.  Loralei has been asking to take dance for a while, but needed to have our potty training under control a bit more, as well as a little more time for our listening ears.  The first class was a bust. We watched our friends dance and cried a little.  The second class went MUCH, MUCH better. Our friends Liam and Ava came to that class and she never missed a beat, and didn't shed a single tear. :)

Nanna and Pa came to town!

Nanna and Pa took a fabulous vacation to the Caribbean. On the way home they stopped by and spent sometime with Loralei. She always loves when they come and visit!
Pa, you play Lego's with me? (Notice the shirt ;))

Snow-pocalypse

The great snow storm of 2014. Not here, but about 15 minutes north of here. We made the most of it, and tried to soak it up while it lasted. Maybe next year?  I am so ready to see Winter take a hike!

Harvey

Dave and I had a rare opportunity to be in the production of Harvey together.  I played a silly opera singer and Dave played a Taxi Driver. We had a great time meeting new people, and spending this time together. It was a wonderful experience and I am so glad we did it together.
